Autumn 2020 Teaching Schedule
Hello,
I am so happy for the opportunities that technology enables because as the elementary school year begins and my daughter will be at home attending school virtually, I too will be teaching online.
This ability to still connect and foster an artistic community via Zoom had been the greatest gift of 2020. And I hope you will consider one or more of my teaching offerings this fall.
Start the autumn off with a 4-day online workshop. I have begun to think of these long weekend workshops as virtual retreats where we get to share and commune with each other celebrating our creative selves. Dahlias and Late Summer Flowers ONLINE Workshop runs from Thursday Sept 10 to Sunday Sept 13th, and will be full of live painting demonstrations and afternoon one-on-one painting guidance.
Also, consider one of my weekly classes that start the last week of September.
On Tuesday mornings, I am teaching a “ Still-Life with Oils” class. This class is divided into three multi-week projects with the first painting effort of the term focusing on analyzing and completing a master copy. The subsequent two painting projects will be original still-life setups inspired by the master copy.
On Wednesday mornings, I am teaching a “Florals in Oils” class. This class is dedicated to painting seasonal flowers. I love autumn in the garden, so many wonderful flowers to choose from. I have taught this class online since May, and it has been a pleasure to see so much growth in my students. The results make me believe in the efficacy of teaching via Zoom. Learning can still happen and that the weekly comradery built in these classes are so important for mental wellbeing and connection.
If you have any questions please feel free to email me.
Also, in anticipation of beginning to teach Tuesdays, I will be hosting a 2-hour demo and Q&A session on Tuesday, September 15th from 10am to noon EST. If you would like to receive the link to attend, send me your email address so I can add your name to the list.
Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you this fall.
Liz
