5 Tools I Use Every Time I Paint with Oils

When working in the studio, I have a few tools I always have on hand.  I thought I would share them with you today.

  1.  Taboret on wheels - I use an elfa cart with casters.  I use the wire mess drawers for maximum air flow.

  2. My Masterson Staywet Palette Case and Glass Palette with gray background fully set up with my full-color palette of colors. Be sure to use a plastic scrapper, as a razor blade scraper will scratch the glass on the palette (learn from my mistake!)

  3. Silicon Brush Cleaner with Gamsol Oderless Mineral Spirits

  4. Filbert shaped hog bristle brushes - My favorite are Trekell Extra Long Filberts. I also use the Trekell regular filberts, Rosemary Classic Filbert, and daVinci Maestro2

  5. Paint Tube Ringer - I use this to maximize the paint I get out of my paint tubes.

And of course I have paint and a painting surface ready to go on my easel.
