Saying Hello and Things Coming Up in the Next Few Months
Work-in-progress scene of my studio in anticipation of the “From Garden to Vase” oil painting collection release
Hi,
As we are finishing up summer, and school is about to start, I hope you are soaking up the last of the fun summer days.
The autumn is going to be a busy time and I have several things coming up, and thought you would like to know about them:
10 September 2019: The From Garden to Vase will be available
A series of paintings inspired by the joy found in bringing flowers inside from the garden and living with them. This collection of paintings means a lot to me, as it is the first series I have completed since moving into our home and establishing our flower garden. I have completed several paintings from flowers grown, but this the first collection of paintings, where I thought about them as a group, and how each painting helped me understand and conceive of the next painting to be created.
To me, living with flowers from the garden is a simple luxury that adds so much beauty to daily life.
18-19 September 2019: Oil Painting Workshop at Great Falls, VA.
A two-day workshop all bout learning to paint pewter and silver metal with oils. There is still some space for students, Sign up Here!
20 September 2019: IGOR Exhibition Reception at Principle Gallery,
Old Town Alexandria from 6:30-9pm
Naomi at Age Five, 20 x 16 inches will be part of the IGOR exhibition! It’s such an honor to be part of this juried exhibition!

6 October 2019: Mclean Project for the Arts, ArtFest!
And this year I am participating. From 10-5pm, come to downtown McLean, VA for this one-day art festival. I will be painting a still-life demonstration during the day. If you know of anyone who would like to meet me in person, please let them know about it. Thanks!
7 December 2019: Small Works Exhibition Reception from 1-4pm at Principle Gallery.
I will be delivering some new paintings just for the Gallery.
It is going to be a busy autumn! I am looking forward to these events and hopefully more.
