The new Elizabeth Floyd Studio and a giveaway
To the new Elizabeth Floyd Studio website and blog, it has been months of planning to arrive at what I feel is a true reflection of how I believe living a creative life is important. I wanted to create a place to share my love of beauty, a place to represent me and my work, while also providing a place for finding inspiration through observation.
I want to celebrate this moment and I want to say thank you to all my readers for giving me the enthusiasm and energy to create this blog. I still cannot believe how having a blog has transformed my life, without your encouragement, kindness, and generosity I would not be here today. Thank you.
Having a place on the internet has enabled me to be expressive, to be creative, and to be inquisitive in a way that was never a part of my life until I began blogging. It has opened doors to new opportunities, it has enriched personal connections with friends all over the world, and most of all, it has expanded my sense of happiness. I feel incredibly fortunate to have you here visiting. Again, thank you.
This is for you…
{Loudoun County in the Fall - approx 5" x 9" oil on gessoed paper}
You may already realize that I have a passion for the open road. Inspired by the fleeting views of landscape one observes when out on a drive, the flashes of beauty, tranquility, and openness that are found throughout and have a way of filling one up with ideas of freedom, self discovery, and adventure. I will be giving away this landscape painting… it seemed a perfect gift, from me to you.
I love sharing and helping others grow as artists, so I will be giving away one of my online classes that I will be teaching this spring.
I enjoy the written word, and receiving notes the old fashioned way… I will be sending out three sets of note cards your way…
Books are a passion of mine… so I will be sending three of my favorite art books out to you… they will be brand new and ready for you to dog ear, highlight, and love…
The Art Spirit by Robert Henri, Oil Painting Techniques by Harold Speed, and How Successful Artists Study by Sam Adoquei. One copy each will be sent out…
