Spring Images: different phases of dandelions

Yesterday I went on a walk along the George Washington Parkway, it was sunny and hot, almost like summer, and the dandelions were in various stages of development. Some areas had only the bright yellow blooms where elsewhere on the path large swaths were covered with the fuzz of the dandelion snow.

Maybe because I do not have a lawn, I love seeing the dandelions bloom, in the northern Virginia area they seem to be the only bright "wild" flower out there, all others have been planted and cultivated to bloom in spring.
